UBC Artelier

AMS Artelier at UBC offers local support for artists who own or want to start their own business. We provide a safe and judgment-free space for artists to hone their craft and learn the logistics of owning a business. Artelier also provides artists with opportunities to sell their work in beginner-friendly settings to promote growth. Our main events consist of workshops, socials, webinars, and markets.

VASA

The Visual Arts Student Association is a student-run organization that seeks to cultivate a vibrant and inclusive community of emerging artists at UBC, fostering creativity, collaboration, and personal growth within the visual arts.

We host several events and exhibitions for students throughout the year, to allow students who love Visual Art to connect with the wider UBC community and display their talents. We also share information about various art groups and organizations, student resources on campus, and occasional artist spotlights. Together, we aim to nurture the next generation of artists, fostering their growth and enabling them to make meaningful contributions to the world through their art.

Hatch Art Gallery

Established in 1970, the Hatch Art Gallery is UBC’s only student-ran exhibition space. Committed to promoting the practices of UBC students and alumni, the Hatch seeks to present innovative projects on critical subjects relevant to larger discourses in contemporary art, visual culture and theory. The Hatch’s exhibition schedule is also supplemented by a variety of special events and projects throughout the year. The Hatch Art Gallery is supported by the UBC Alma Mater Society.

UBC PRINT Arts & Crafts

Our Mission is to inspire students' creative identity by facilitating a supportive community that shares the same love for all things arts and crafts. The PRINT Arts and Crafts Club is a student-run club that has been a creative outlet for the UBC community for twelve years. During the school year, we host a variety of creative workshops, socials and collaboration events that align with the interests of our members. We strive to build an art community where students can have a welcoming place to connect and explore new interests while also destressing from the pressure of school commitments.
